Rick has a medical condition and been through multiple surgeries. He yearns for a normal life as a child, as a teenager, but he is seen by others with pity in their eyes and a normal life is always snatched away from him. His life is caged.Rick is forced to fight for himself and even the simplest thing in life doesn’t come to him easily. His family and friends are his pillar of support. And then comes love in his life. Will it last or walk away ? Will it help in grow in life.? That’s all the book about.
The book is narration of incidents from the author’s life. Narrative style is straight forward. The names of the characters are masked to make it appealing to the global audience? However, the language is simple, bland sometimes, and doesn’t do full justice in bringing out the emotions right. Despite being a short read, the book lacked luster ,here and there. With a bunch of ‘not -so-strong’ characters and a very much predictable climax, this fares to be an okay-ish read.
Hope, determination and survival – the author tries to convey through this book and he’s succeeded. He has come up with a beautiful epilogue, which is worth mentioning. If you have some time to kill and want a light read with less drama, go for this.
When a lot of Indian writers try their skills in writing romance and teen love , the author has attempted a fresh story, with a message.Appreciable!
